Congratulations to our latest class of Spiritual Care Visitors, who completed their 10-week training on June 28.  Hosted by Greater St. John Bible Church in conjunction with Rush University Medical Center, the training was tailored to meet the needs of West Side pastors and their congregations.

Graduates shared that the program has helped them deal with highly stressful situations in their family and community. Being able to act in a caring manner is helpful in times of illness, death and trauma, and our training informs students on a variety of situations they might encounter.

The ALIVE! project of Rush UMC collaborated with Bishop Anderson House to offer Spiritual Care Visitor Training for residents in our neighborhood and we are grateful for the underwriting of the project.
